Our History...

"Rolling in Tobago" had a two-part goal: to offer a one-of-a-kind experience to traveling Jiu-Jitsu practitioners, allowing them to immerse themselves in the art of Jiu-Jitsu while exploring the breathtaking beauty of Tobago. In May 2023, Rolling in Tobago, the first ever Jiu-Jitsu retreat to be hosted in Tobago threw its inaugural event that left a lasting impression on all 40 participants who attended. Our second event in May 2024, continued on this success, welcoming 60 participants to the camp. Each year as we grow, we look forward to putting on the best camps possible for the travelling practicioner.

Rolling in Tobago - Joe Moses

Our Organizer...

Born and raised in Trinidad, Joe has been training Jiu-Jitsu for over a decade both in the US and on the island. He was among some of the first guys to introduce the sport to the island. After a brief stint living and training in Houston, Texas, he got to experience what the lifestyle was about: world class training and being part of a community that has quick progression and opportunities. Upon returning home to Trinidad, his aim was to build the sport for the future generation of practitioners to have similar opportunities that international athletes get to enjoy. He has taken up various projects through his Open Mat TT project, a non-profit organization, with the goal of bringing the local gyms together to share knowledge, allowing the younger generation the opportunity of faster progression than the practitioners before them. Rolling in Tobago was born from this same vision to offer something new to Trinidad and Tobago by attracting foreign practitioners to continue growth with the help of outside influence. And in return, he is excited to showcase the beauty of the island to the foreign community.
